On October 18 the students from our Intro to Communications course hosted a Coffee Social on the North Campus and invited the staff, faculty, and students of North Campus to join them.
Part of the course for first year students is learning about “small talk” and how to communicate with new people. The Coffee Social offers a place for students to practice introducing themselves and adapting conversation topics. This was a great experience for our students as well as a big part of their education.
