Student Stories: Personal Finance Class Activity

In October students enrolled in Personal Finance with Nathan Schloetel gathered at the Crossroads Mall to participate in a mock back-to-school shopping class activity. Students determined the priority of each item and had a set budget of $150.00.

This activity helped students determine what could be bought within the given budget and how to determine what the best price on an item would be including comparing item prices within one store and comparing prices between multiple stores. A few students were able to find all the items and stay within budget, while other students had to make tough decisions about what they would not be able to purchase.
