Other Earth Week Events are infused throughout the quarter, including:

Virtual Tour of the Bullitt Center: One of the world’s most sustainable buildings, which is right downtown Seattle! Students discussed what are the most important concepts & ideas that they learned about the Bullitt Center? Why are they important to sustainability?

Make Your Own Social Justice Poster: Artist activist, Favianna Rodriguez, shared 3 tips on how to create a social/environmental justice poster. Each student created their own poster and presented to the class.

11 Actions for the Planet: Students checked out these climate actions that they can take during the pandemic. Through class discussion students selected 1 of the 11 action steps and shared how 3 of their values relate to their selection.

Rise: From One Island To Another: Two indigenous poets – one from the Marshall Islands and another from Greenland – meet at the source of our rising seas to share a moment of solidarity.  The class discussed how this short video clip relates to Climate Change and steps we need to take to protect the planet.
