Learning About Internet Safety

The OLS Intro to Computers class has been busy learning about internet safety. One activity that they recently completed was an Internet Safety Poster.

For this fun group activity, students compiled what they learned in class on a poster. Students shared the best reasons to be online, how they use the internet, and advice they would give someone who has never used the internet. They also shared what they do to stay safe online and things we should never do. After that, students had the opportunity to walk around the class and see what others created. Students shared what they liked from other groups and shared the biggest takeaways of the activity.

This activity will help students how to navigate the World Wide Web for workplace purposes. It also helped them learn about potential threats on the internet.
