The summer quarter is busy for the Occupational & Life Skills Bellevue College (OLSBC) program. While the program’s courses take a break until the fall, our program stays busy through summer volunteering!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

OLSBC offers students entering their final year in our program the opportunity to volunteer with us over the summer. Summer volunteering provides students the opportunity to expand on their work skills, utilize their strengths and work with a group to accomplish a common goal in a team environment. They report to their supervisor daily and check in as they accomplish their tasks. This is a great way for our students to practice work experience in a real-world context.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

In the summer of 2024, the program partnered with two organizations. One was Tilth Alliance<\/a>, an organization that works in community with Washington farmers, gardeners and eaters to build a sustainable, healthy and equitable food future.
