She began her career teaching in New York City through Teach for America and then became a school psychologist, working in the Issaquah School District for 15 years. Two years ago, Meg received her doctorate in educational leadership and accepted a position on the school psychology faculty at Seattle University, splitting her time between teaching graduate school and serving as the Transition Specialist for the Center for Change in Transition Services. Meg is a member of OSPI&#8217;s Inclusionary Practices Technical Assistance Network and is a Washington delegate for the National Technical Assistance Center on Transition, contributing to initiatives that improve opportunities and outcomes for students with disabilities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"block-wrapper alignstandard\">\n<p>While she may be a new addition to the OLSBC team, she is quite familiar with the program. \u201cI have long admired the OLSBC program,\u201d she said. \u201cDuring my time as a school psychologist at a local high school, I had the privilege of working with many students and families who have benefited from attending OLSBC. As a transition specialist, I have seen firsthand how the OLSBC program is a true leader in the field, setting a benchmark for excellence.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"block-wrapper alignstandard\">\n<p>She is also looking forward to this new chapter and helping OLSBC continue to expand and flourish. \u201cI am truly excited to join the team and work alongside such dedicated professionals and inspiring young adults,\u201d she said. \u201cI look forward to contributing to the continued growth and success of the program.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"block-wrapper alignstandard\">\n<p>Meg lives with her family and has three teenagers, ages 18, 16, and 14. In our uniquely supportive skills-based program, students apply academic knowledge through community activities, service learning and social experiences.
