On January 22, OLS Bellevue College students, faculty, and staff came together for their winter quarter service project. Service Learning is an integral part of the OLS curriculum, and provides the program a chance to make an impact in the community.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

For the Winter Service Project, the OLS program created blankets for Seattle Children\u2019s Hospital, an annual tradition the program has participated in for many years. Many students who have attended the OLS program were once patients at Seattle Children\u2019s and understand firsthand the comfort and significance of blankets like these.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

While most blankets were created with a group effort, one student, Dan, challenged himself to see how long it would take to create a blanket all by himself. He completed the challenge in 22 minutes!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n

OLS is proud to have made 24 blankets for Seattle Children\u2019s this year that will be distributed to children staying in the hospital. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
