The central courtyard surrounding the Student Union Building offers a gathering place for events and leisure and is the site of Opening Day activities.
Carlson Theatre Courtyard
The south end of the central campus courtyard is anchored by the 300-seat Carlson Theatre, named after Bud Carlson, founder of the Bellevue College Drama Department. This courtyard is the site of the annual student barbecue, which ushers in elections of student government officers.
