In the event of discrepancies between state and federal regulations, the one requiring the greatest level of accessibility will be followed. This policy complements other Bellevue College policies covering reasonable accommodations in academics and work.<\/p>\n<h2>Definitions<\/h2>\n<p>Bellevue College has adopted the definition of accessible used by the U.S. Department of Education in civil rights resolutions with postsecondary institutions:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccessible\u201d means a person with a disability is \u201cafforded the opportunity to acquire the same information, engage in the same interactions, and enjoy the same services as a person without a disability in an equally effective and equally integrated manner, with substantially equivalent ease of use.
