{"id":575,"date":"2014-06-03T15:31:04","date_gmt":"2014-06-03T22:31:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/policies\/?page_id=575"},"modified":"2025-12-15T11:40:30","modified_gmt":"2025-12-15T19:40:30","slug":"id-5050","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/policies\/id-5050\/","title":{"rendered":"5050 Electronic Communications"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Original Date: 6\/14\/2005 * Last Revision Effective: 12\/10\/2025<br \/>\nPolicy Contact: Vice President, Information Technology Services<\/p>\n<h2>Policy<\/h2>\n<p>College users of information technology are obliged to use communication tools in a responsible, effective and constructive manner.<\/p>\n<p>Procedures, standards, practices, processes and\/or controls related to using electronic communication systems will be implemented by the college under this policy to ensure their proper use, to protect college information, and to preserve the integrity and reliability of the college\u2019s information technology.<\/p>\n<p>This policy and all associated procedures and standards apply to all authorized users of college electronic communication systems, including employees, students, and guests, unless otherwise stated.<\/p>\n<h2>Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<h3>Information Technology Services (ITS) Vice President<\/h3>\n<p>Has responsibility for maintenance and administration of this policy. ITS will draft updates and changes to this policy and its associated procedures when required.\u00a0 Changes will be approved following relevant campus procedures.<\/p>\n<h3>Student Affairs (SA) Vice President<\/h3>\n<p>Will review updates and changes to this policy providing input on its implications for students.<\/p>\n<h3>Human Resources (HR) Vice President<\/h3>\n<p>Will provide oversight for policy development related to employees and to enforce compliance with all college policies, as well as federal, state and local regulations.
