Bachelor of Applied Science Degree Healthcare Management and Leadership

Bellevue College is proud to offer a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree in Healthcare Management & Leadership. This career-oriented bachelor’s degree program is designed to prepare individuals to become successful supervisors, managers and administrators within hospitals, clinics and healthcare centers.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, medical and health services managers are projected to grow 23% by 2022. The Washington State Employment Security Office also reports Medical and Healthcare Services Managers as positions “in demand” for King County and Washington State. Both agencies indicate that 61% of jobs in this field will require a bachelor’s degree or higher.

The first 90 credits of the degree are fulfilled by entrance prerequisites. The second half of the degree offers professionally relevant curriculum built around the advanced technical and supervisory knowledge needed to manage healthcare systems and facilities.

Concentrations:

General Healthcare Management

The Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Healthcare Management and Leadership’s General concentration in Healthcare Management is a career-oriented bachelor’s degree program developed specifically to meet the career advancement needs of individuals with business and/or healthcare preparation and experience. It is designed to prepare individuals to successfully compete for jobs that require knowledge of the healthcare system and supervisory or management skills.

Neurodiagnostic Technology

The Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Healthcare Management and Leadership, concentration in Neurodiagnostic Technology, is a career-oriented bachelor’s degree program designed for individuals with an associate degree in the field of neurodiagnostic technology. The degree provides both advanced technical training and the management and leadership courses important for those who seek supervisory roles as part of their career progression.

Radiation & Imaging Management

The Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Healthcare Management and Leadership’s concentration in Radiation & Imaging Sciences is a career oriented degree program developed specifically to meet the career advancement needs of radiation and imaging professionals to successfully compete for jobs that require supervisory and management skills. It is designed to prepare individuals to successfully compete for jobs that require knowledge of the healthcare system and supervisory or management skills.
