The certificate in Magnetic Resonance (MR) Imaging formally prepares the Imaging Technologist in Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy to work in an MR Imaging lab. The didactic courses are designed to prepare students to sit for the Magnetic Resonance Imaging exam administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. The clinical practicum provides students with the opportunity to develop required competencies. A selective application process is utilized to align eligible students with the appropriate clinical site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are interested in pursuing MRI as your entry-level credential, you can do that! MRI programs are accredited by the American Registry of MRI Technologists; the ARMRIT website has a list of accredited programs<\/a>. The accrediting body for radiography professions, the JRCERT, lists JRCERT-accredited MRI programs<\/a>. In Washington state, Bates Technical College in Tacoma has an entry-level, associate degree MRI program<\/a>. Entry into the certificate program at Bellevue College is limited to individuals who have an entry-level credential in radiologic technology, nuclear medicine technology, diagnostic ultrasound, or radiation therapy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
