The BC in the Community portal, through Galaxy Digital, creates a space for every member of the Bellevue College community to engage with local nonprofit and government agencies and to find volunteer opportunities. With over 150 organizations ranging from Everett to Covington, North Bend to Burien, you will no problem learning about agencies doing important work in the community.
Students can use BC in the Community to find volunteer opportunities associated with their service-learning classes, contact agencies, log hours, and create a volunteer resume. Students do not need to be in service-learning classes to use the portal.
Faculty can use BC in the Community to set up and manage their service-learning classes, including determining which opportunities fit with the class and reviewing student hours. Faculty can also peruse the portal to find agencies for partnerships or guest speakers.
Community agencies can use BC in the Community to let Bellevue College students know about their programs, services, and impact, as well as to post volunteer opportunities and events. The portal can help facilitate educational partnerships with BC faculty.
Below are resources for students to help them navigate the BC in the Community portal. Faculty resources are located on RISE’s faculty page. Community partners will receive their resources as part of their welcome packet.
