The Central Sound Regional Science & Engineering Fair (CSRSEF) is an annual science and engineering competition for 9th-12th grade students in King and Snohomish Counties in Washington State. The CSRSEF encourages and rewards innovative student research and provides professional scientists and engineers the chance to interact with some of the best and brightest young students in the greater Seattle/Everett region.

Students in grades 9-12 in King and Snohomish counties are REQUIRED to participate in CSRSEF in order to qualify to compete at the Washington State Science and Engineering Fair

 

Congratulations to our 2017 CSRSEF Winners:


Grand Prize Winner Neha Hulklund
from Tesla STEM School in Redmond claimed the top award at the fair with her project, “The Development of Machine Learning Linear Regression Algorithms for Epileptic Seizure Prediction.”

First Runner Up Eshika Saxena from Interlake High School in Bellevue also won with her project, “Extracting Photoplethysmographic and Biometric Information from Smartphone Video Streams for Remote Assessment of Cardiovascular Health and Spoof-proof Identity Authentication.”

Both women won all-expense paid trips to compete in the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair in Los Angeles in May 2017. ISEF 2017 Trip Highlights
