{"id":1186,"date":"2023-06-27T12:13:45","date_gmt":"2023-06-27T19:13:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/softwaredevelopment\/?page_id=1186"},"modified":"2025-05-21T12:36:32","modified_gmt":"2025-05-21T19:36:32","slug":"degrees-new","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/softwaredevelopment\/degrees-new\/","title":{"rendered":"Degrees and Certificates"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">The <strong>Bachelor of Applied Science in Software Development<\/strong> provides students with the option to specialize in one of two areas: <strong>Application Development <\/strong>or <strong>Artificial Intelligence<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>Application Development<\/strong> concentration provides graduates with fundamentals of programming, design patterns and practices, database applications, web technologies and application environments, including mobile devices and the cloud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>Artificial Intelligence (AI)<\/strong> concentration provides graduates with the knowledge and skills to apply statistical algorithms to AI applications, natural language processing and to perform usability testing and evaluate results of human-AI interactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All BAS Software Development students complete either <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/softwaredevelopment\/capstones-vs-exprl\/\">Capstone or an approved Internship plus EXPRL courses.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that students cannot double major in both concentrations. The BAS Software Development is considered one degree by the state and cannot be awarded twice.
