Often times performance in the classroom is directly influenced by things taking place outside of school. Students balance a multitude of responsibilities including caring for family members and working full or part time. The following are some ways you can help:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Let them know you care: As an instructor you spend more time with your students then pretty much anyone else at the college. A quick message to a student to let them know you are concerned about them and their progress in your class can mean a lot. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit an Early Alert: We understand instructors have lots of responsibilities. The Early Alert program is here to support you as well as your students. If you have tried reaching out to your student, but need more help, let us know by submitting an alert! <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recognize their efforts: It&#8217;s nice to know that people notice when we&#8217;re struggling, but it also feels great to be noticed\/acknowledged when things are going well.
