What’s Up in Student Engagement – Asian Pacific American/Islander Heritage Month

API Women in Power -- Washington State Representative My-Linh Thai, Representative Vandana Slatter, Senator Manka Dhingra

Our weekly newsletter is out!

May is national Asian Pacific American (also known as Asian Pacific Islander) Heritage Month. We celebrate and acknowledge the many contributions made by Asians and Pacific Islanders in the United States. The Asian Pacific Islander Student Affinity Coordinator, in collaboration with several representatives on campus, has organized several events BC students can take part in this month.

Join us tomorrow, May 17th, for the Asian American Women in Power Panel at 2PM on Zoom. Hear from Washington State Representative My-Linh Thai, Representative Vandana Slatter, and Senator Manka Dhingra about their lives as Asian American women in United States and the current issues facing the API community. We will offer a limited number of free lunch vouchers to a local API owned restaurant to BC students attending this event.
