Collection \u200e\u200e\u200e\u200e<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Custodial staff collects all tri-stream waste into rolling bins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rolling bins are taken to recycling, compost, and landfill dumpsters and sorted accordingly with the corresponding waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Repurposing & Disposal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Compost and recyclable waste start a new life as repurposed plastic, glass, metal, and compost products! Waste materials go to landfill and are properly disposed of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Landfill<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • No recyclables or compostable items<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • All metal caps and lids less than 3 inches belong in landfill<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • No hazardous waste<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Special Items: Plastic grocery bags, electronics, and batteries should not go in the landfill and can be recycled when brought to the proper facility. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Compost<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • No metal, no plastic, no glass<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • All food including meat, bones and shells are acceptable<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Cups, lids, and any food packaging with the labels of PLA-7, greenware, ecotainer, or any other icon\/words symbolizing compost is compostable<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Paper products must be uncoated and unlined<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Only use approved compostable and paper bags to collect compost<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

      Recycling<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      • Items must be clean, dry, and empty<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • No food or liquid <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • No metal lids less than 3 inches<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • All plastic lids must be attached to their container<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • No plastic bags or film wrap<\/li>\n\n\n\n
