Interested in volunteering with the Office of Sustainability? Please follow these steps to get started!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Who?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    • If you\u2019re new to the topic of sustainability and climate justice. <\/li>
    • If you have limited time to give. <\/li>
    • If you\u2019re a student club\/program but has yet to explore the possibilities of how your club intersects with climate justice and sustainability.  <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Time Commitment<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      If you have about 2-5 hours of time to give on a given day or if you\u2019re looking for a one time commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Support<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      A set task is predetermined by the Office of Sustainability and the volunteer works independently or as part of a group to work on the task.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Typical Services<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Office tasks and event help.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Project Examples<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      • Helping with office tasks, such as entering data or making buttons to handout at events. <\/li>
      • Volunteering at a sustainability event e.g.  Earth Week\u2019s Earth Market or student housing rain garden work party.  <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Who?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
        • If you have an interest and\/or exposure to sustainability topics. <\/li>
        • If you have reoccurring free time each week to give.  <\/li>
        • If you\u2019re looking for ways to initiate positive change on campus. <\/li>
        • If you\u2019re a student club\/program that has started brainstorming possible project ideas about climate justice and sustainability. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Time Commitment<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          If you have time for a weekly obligation of 2-5 hours a week.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Support<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          A project\/task is either determined by the volunteer with the guidance of the Office of Sustainability or solely by the Office of Sustainability. The Office will provide support and assistance throughout the project\/task.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Typical Services<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          Project proposals, continuing projects, and educational tabling.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Project Examples<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
          • Working on on-going and already established projects e.g. bioswale improvements and repair. <\/li>
          • Research a topic and write a proposal on how it can be implemented at BC.  <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            Who?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
            • If you\u2019re an Individual or small group that has a specific issue in mind and has started or is willing to brainstorm solutions and ideas to address the issue. <\/li>
            • If you\u2019re looking for ways to initiate and create positive change on campus and in the surrounding community. <\/li>
            • If you\u2019re looking to build your resume and gain leadership skills.  <\/li>
            • If you can commit to working on a project for a quarter\u2019s length of time.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

              Time Commitment<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

              If you have a full quarter or multiple quarters to work on a project (spread out over time according to your schedule).   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

              Support<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

              A project\/task is determined by the volunteer with the guidance and input from the Office of Sustainability. The volunteer independently manages their time to complete the task within the agreed upon timeframe. The Office of Sustainability provides input and support throughout the project.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

              Typical Services<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

              Project execution, funding proposals, and presentations on research\/projects <\/p>\n\n\n\n

              Project Examples<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
              • Securing solar panel funding<\/li>
              • Starting a campaign on campus<\/li>
