When you&#8217;re busy studying or going from class to class, you can easily glance a transit tracker to know when the next bus is coming. For example, you will see <code><span style=\"color:#00AEEF\">Parking Garage:<\/span> Upcoming Bus Departures<\/code> followed by upcoming buses near the Parking Garage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the schedule page, the numbers to the left represent a <strong>bus route<\/strong>. The text in the center is the <strong>final destination<\/strong> of that route, if you ride the bus all the way to the end. Note that each bus stops at many locations along its journey, and every route number has a distinct path, even if the final destination is the same. The abbreviation &#8216;TC&#8217; stands for &#8216;Transit Center&#8217;. Finally, the time on the right is <strong>how long until the bus arrives<\/strong> at the stop. If the time is written in <mark class=\"has-inline-color has-bc-green-color\">green<\/mark>, that bus is being tracked in real time, so you can trust that the timing is correct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Tools for Riding the Bus<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>View the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/sustainability\/sustainbc\/transportation\/bus-bicycle-map\/\">Transportation Map<\/a>&nbsp;to see the different bus lines that serve our campus. There are many routes that stop at Eastgate Park &amp; Ride, and near the BC parking garage and main entrance, offered by King County Metro.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/tripplanner.kingcounty.gov\/\">King County Trip Planner<\/a>&nbsp;lets you plan your trip based on where you need to be and when. Hint: Enter both \u201cBellevue College\u201d and \u201cEastgate\u201d as your destination to get to campus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learn about where to find discounted ORCA passes and more transit tips on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/maps-directions\/bus-orca-card\/\">main BC website<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Connecting to Light Rail<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kingcounty.gov\/en\/dept\/metro\/routes-and-service\/schedules-and-maps\/241\">Route 241<\/a> connects you to South Bellevue Station on the 2 Line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About this Project<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Transit Tracker<\/strong> was originally a project by <a href=\"https:\/\/transit-tracker.eastsideurbanism.org\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/transit-tracker.eastsideurbanism.org\/\">Eastside Urbanism<\/a>. In 2025, Nick Frey \u2013 a former Bellevue College student and Sustainability Outreach Coordinator \u2013&nbsp;built and customized several transit trackers with funding from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/sustainability\/get-involved\/sesf\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"15538\">Student Environmental Sustainability Fund<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The software is open source.
