About Earth Month 2026<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Bellevue College\u2019s Earth Month 2026 programming is coming soon!  This year\u2019s theme is Transforming Lives: Our Power, Our Planet<\/strong>. The Sustainability Office will be featuring events throughout the month of April that connect our community with action that supports the health and vibrancy of our planet. Get your hands dirty at a habitat restoration event, join an informative talk or film screening, enjoy a CSA produce box, or stroll through the Earth Market to connect with local, sustainable organizations.  The full schedule is coming soon.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All events are open to students, faculty, staff, and community members. Snacks and prize drawings will be at every speaker session and workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earth Month events are on Bellevue College’s campus at 3000 Landerholm Circle SE Bellevue WA, 98007. View the campus map with parking<\/a>, as well as room locations<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donate Your Clothing and Items!<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Sustainability Office is currently gathering items from March 23rd – April 20th for our Zero Waste Fair, April 22nd, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the C Courtyard<\/strong>, where anyone can come by and thrift for free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When making donations please be sure they are clean, in good condition and small personal items; no food, weapons, furniture, hazardous, illegal, or state-owned items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be donation boxes set up in the L Building Lobby, C Building Lobby, Library (D Building), and The Benefits Hub (U Building).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earth Market<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Join our annual Earth Month market to connect with local organizations working in sustainability, and purchase locally crafted goods! The event is on April 29th 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM in the C Courtyard<\/strong> (depending on weather).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Target 2030: How to Reach BC’s Emissions Targets<\/td>Join the Sustainability Office for a discussion on achieving 60% Greenhouse Gas Reduction by 2030. Washington State has set reduction targets leading to Net Zero in 2050. The Bellevue College 2024 Climate Action Plan is one of the roadmaps to get there. We will be doing a deep dive into what steps the college needs to take over the next 3 years to achieve this goal.<\/td>April 20

Beginning with Wendell Berry’s “The Peace of Wild Things” and Mary Oliver\u2019s “When I Am Among the Trees,” we\u2019ll reflect on the images that resonate and use them as a doorway into our own writing.
