Karen Bosshart, a member of the sustainability community on campus and also an employee of the Student Programs front desk, is running a feminine hygiene product drive to help students in need on campus. Karen drew attention to the fact that there is a Food Pantry on the 2nd floor of the Student Union, and it’s a place where people can donate or receive food, or other items that they may need. However, many people are not aware that they can donate feminine products.<\/p>\n
From January 17th to 27th, please donate new, packaged pads and tampons to marked bins in the B,C,L,S,R, and T buildings or the pantry located on the second floor of the C Building.<\/strong> Any type of product is welcomed as women all have different body types! Check out the poster here:Feminine Product Drive Poster<\/a><\/p>\n Karen attended the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education’s annual conference in Baltimore this fall, and noticed that she could make a real difference on campus. She obtained funding for\u00a0her project through the Student Environmental Sustainability Fund<\/a>.
