{"id":1694,"date":"2012-02-24T09:11:29","date_gmt":"2012-02-24T17:11:29","guid":{"rendered":"\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/sustainability\/?p=1694"},"modified":"2013-11-19T10:57:48","modified_gmt":"2013-11-19T18:57:48","slug":"bc2-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/sustainability\/2012\/02\/24\/bc2-update\/","title":{"rendered":"BC2 Eco-Office Update!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here is a quick update on what\u2019s been going on with BC<sup>2<\/sup>Eco-Office Survey.\u00a0If anyone needs a refresher as to what BC<sup>2<\/sup> stands for, it is \u2018Bellevue College x Beyond Conservation = BC<sup>2\u2019<\/sup>. This program was developed to monitor the level of sustainability maintained in campus offices. Student auditors examine the office buildings on campus and then provide a detailed report about their observations and recommendations on the areas that could be improved.<\/p>\n<p>The first completed audit was for Student Programs. A report was delivered to Faisal Jaswal the Assistant Dean of Student Programs &amp; his staff. \u00a0They were very receptive and proactive about the recommendations. A couple of the good points were that student programs had 100% of their employees routinely print double sided and 91% remembered to turn off their computers after work.<\/p>\n<p>The following office spaces in buildings B, L, N, and S are being surveyed this month.
