It explores and provides strategies on how to weave this knowledge into business practices at all levels of the organization including manufacturing, retail, energy, building management, financial and other services as well as across profit and non-profit sectors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BSUST 101 Introduction to Sustainable Business Practices<\/strong> \u2022 5 CR<\/p>\n<p>OAS online L100<\/p>\n<p>This online class section is taught by <strong>Marika Reinke,<\/strong> the creator and energy behind the Business Sustainable Practices Program. In this class you will explore sustainable business practices that manage resources, emphasize policies to minimally affect local and global environment, and create positive social environments. Topics cover energy systems and efficiencies, transportation, water usage, waste management and recycling, supply chain and product lifecycle management, and environmental corporate responsibilities and regulations.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<strong>BSUST 160 Sustainable Business Analysis<\/strong> \u2022 5 CR<\/p>\n<p>Recommended: BSUST 150.<\/p>\n<p>OAS online L100<\/p>\n<p>This online class section is taught by<strong> Mary<\/strong> <strong>Corcoran.\u00a0 <\/strong>Mary has been a practicing forensic analyst, manager, and business owner for over 20 years. Mary\u2019s goal as an instructor is to share her skills and experience from her exciting and rewarding\u2028business career with students who are interested in business and accounting.<\/p>\n<p>In this class you will be introduced to process and techniques involved in performing analysis of businesses with emphasis on how to best integrate sustainability into business and financial strategies. Topics include business process analysis, triple bottom line accounting, information technology processes, green supply chain, trends and practices, and legal issues and regulatory compliance.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<strong>BSUST 201 Whole Systems Thinking and Change Management<\/strong> \u2022 5 CR<\/p>\n<p>Recommended: BSUST 101 or general knowledge of business and sustainable business practices.<\/p>\n<p>Section A : TTh 3:00p-5:10p D101<\/p>\n<p>This section is taught by <strong>Ruth Fruland<\/strong>,\u00a0 a teaching faculty member of (IBIT) Institute of Business &amp; Information Technology.\u00a0 This class presents a strategic approach to change management based on whole systems thinking.
