Learn more about the positions below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Outreach Coordinator<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>An&nbsp;<a><\/a>integral part of BC\u2019s Office of Sustainability, the Sustainability Outreach Coordinator acts as an ambassador to the BC community to introduce sustainable opportunities and initiatives as well as helping foster a sustainability-oriented campus mindset. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of sustainability projects, that include but are not limited to event planning, report creating, classroom talks, and communicating with staff, faculty, and students. We are looking for a well-rounded student who is interested in sustainability and climate justice, and is willing to learn on the job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Core Responsibilities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Promote Sustainability opportunities, resources, and events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide customer service and support to students, staff, and faculty interested in sustainability programs.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist in organizing, facilitating, and conducting outreach events such as event tabling and classroom presentations (both virtual and in-person).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work as a member of the team on Office of Sustainability priority projects such as planning the Fall Sustainability Series, greenhouse gas emissions reporting, fleet decarbonization, water fountain replacement, and more.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collect and analyze sustainability related data and conduct sustainability related research.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Liaise between the Office of Sustainability, ASG, Student Clubs, and the Student Engagement Office to increase participation in the Student Environmental Sustainability Fund.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support students with sustainable projects and help them navigate the SESF funding process, working alongside the Associated Student Government Social Responsibility Rep.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hcprd.ctclink.us\/psp\/tam\/EMPLOYEE\/HRMS\/c\/HRS_HRAM_FL.HRS_CG_SEARCH_FL.GBL?Page=HRS_APP_JBPST_FL&amp;Action=U&amp;FOCUS=Applicant&amp;SiteId=80&amp;JobOpeningId=14098&amp;PostingSeq=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">For more information and the full application<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Transportation Coordinator <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A crucial part of Bellevue College&#8217;s Office of Sustainability, the Transportation Coordinator acts as an ambassador to the BC community to introduce sustainable transportation options and methods. Whether it is helping another student find a bus route to and from campus, or creating new programs like our bike rental program, the Transportation Coordinator plays an important role in reducing Bellevue College&#8217;s greenhouse gas emissions associated with driving to campus.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Core Responsibilities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Coordinate and maintain current alternative transportation programming such as bike rental program and ORCA card program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop and execute new transportation and sustainability program ideas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote the Office of Sustainability opportunities during event tabling and classroom presentations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analyze transportation related data and create reports.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide customer service to students, staff, and faculty interested in transportation programs through the transportation window, by phone, in person, and by email.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research and create content for publication such as social media, articles, videos and images for websites, newsletters, posters, and hand-outs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate partnerships with transportation organizations associated with Bellevue College.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain bicycles by scheduling maintenance, manage renter contracts, and keep an inventory of accessories.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hcprd.ctclink.us\/psp\/tam\/EMPLOYEE\/HRMS\/c\/HRS_HRAM_FL.HRS_CG_SEARCH_FL.GBL?Page=HRS_APP_JBPST_FL&amp;Action=U&amp;FOCUS=Applicant&amp;SiteId=80&amp;JobOpeningId=14094&amp;PostingSeq=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">For more information and the full application<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Applications received by 9\/30\/24 will be given full consideration.<\/h2>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Office of Sustainability is currently hiring for two student positions, an Outreach Coordinator and a Transportation Coordinator.
