Supportive measures may be available to any party regardless of their role (complainant, respondent, witness), where the incident occurred, or when it occurred. It did not have to occur on campus or involve another student or employee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If a recent or past incident is limiting a person&#8217;s ability to participate in their educational program or campus employment, they can seek assistance from the Title IX office. If the recipient of a protection order or restraining order&nbsp;breaks those rules, violating the order, they could be subject to disciplinary action\/sanctions from the court. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note, restraining orders are useful in some situations, but because they rely on the recipient to follow the order (typically, out of fear of further disciplinary actions), some risk of contact still remains. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>King County has information on the different types of <a href=\"https:\/\/kingcounty.gov\/en\/dept\/pao\/courts-jails-legal-system\/protection-orders\">protection orders<\/a> and how to start the process. If you are in immediate danger, dial 911.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"tab_link_a3fb914b-447d-4ae0-b773-fbc679fa95fc\" class=\"wp-block-mayflower-blocks-tab-content-panel tab-pane\" id=\"tab_a3fb914b-447d-4ae0-b773-fbc679fa95fc\">\n<p>Community Advocacy Agencies are non-profit organizations that provide a comprehensive range of services to individuals experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, and family violence. The services vary by agency, are free and confidential, and there are culture and language specific options. Support services can include such things as legal advocacy, counseling, basic needs, housing assistance, and other programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A list of off-campus resources can be found on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/gbvprevention\/resources\/\">BC&#8217;s Gender Based Violence Prevention website<\/a>.
