Each speaker is allotted up to two minutes. The Board does not respond to questions or comments during this time, as operational matters are delegated to the college president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Public comments may be provided in one of three ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>In-person<\/strong>: Sign up on the public comment sheet located at the entrance to the meeting room.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Remote<\/strong>: Use the &#8220;Raise Hand&#8221; feature in Zoom to indicate your intent to speak. Pradnya Desh, chair, presided. This meeting was held in B201 and on Zoom. A telephone line was also available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chair Desh called the business session to order at 4 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Roll Call<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A quorum of the Board was present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Present: Chair Pradnya Desh, Vice Chair Rich Fukutaki, Trustee Richard <a>Leigh<\/a>, Trustee Greg Dietzel, President David May, Assistant Attorney General Tricia Boerger, and Board Secretary Alicia Keating Polson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Absent: none.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There were no guests in attendance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Approval of Agenda<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Trustee Dietzel made a motion to approve the agenda (March 16, 2026.) Trustee Leigh seconded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The motion passed unanimously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Public Comment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There was no public comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Action<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Revisions to Board Policy and Governance Manual<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Motion 04.26<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Trustee Leigh moved that the Board of Trustees of Community College District VIII approves the proposed revisions to Sections 100.030 (Composition) and 100.460 (Required Vote) of the Board Policy and Governance Manual, effective immediately.
