This non-invasive tool can be used to determine whether an abnormality is a fluid-filled cyst or solid tumor. Additionally, research shows that Breast Ultrasound plays an important part in breast health and medical procedures. The Breast Ultrasound Certificate is designed to prepare Mammographers and Sonographers to obtain certification and employment in this specialty area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Breast Ultrasound Certificate may be taken as a stand-alone certificate or as a part of the Radiation &amp; Imaging Sciences Bachelors of Applied Science degree. This certificate is designed for registered sonographers and mammographers, and students in related imaging programs. It is a great program for imaging professionals seeking employment in women\u2019s health clinics and breast centers. Imaging professionals must be current in their national certification and must apply to Bellevue College but are not required to apply to the RAIS program. Imaging Professionals are limited to take 10 credits per year as a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.merriam-webster.com\/dictionary\/nonmatriculated\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">non-matriculated student<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/admissions-aid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Apply<\/a>&nbsp;for general admission at Bellevue College<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You must apply to Bellevue College in order to take a course through our program.
