We will begin accepting applications for the fall, 2027 cohort in January, 2027.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2026 Diagnostic Ultrasound Application Instructions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>2026 Application Update:&nbsp; The Diagnostic Ultrasound Technology program (Adult Cardiac concentration) is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (<a href=\"https:\/\/nam02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.caahep.org%2F&amp;data=05%7C02%7Csuzanne.lane%40bellevuecollege.edu%7C8ee0029a64be4f99c1db08de4e1bde23%7Cf94c251c1347422eb3ea8ac56befd6cb%7C0%7C0%7C639034078755367636%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=lx6p9c61imrVleGuMpqHbh2v3Ox8iE0pykcV6NU%2BPGw%3D&amp;reserved=0\">www.caahep.org<\/a>) upon recommendation of the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC-DMS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bellevue College was informed by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) that the&nbsp;Abdomen-Extended, OB\/GYN, and Vascular&nbsp;Concentrations&nbsp;of our Diagnostic Ultrasound program were&nbsp;withdrawn&nbsp;from the accredited list.<strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong>The Diagnostic Ultrasound Programat Bellevue Collegehas a site visit scheduled for pursuing initial accreditation (in Abdomen-Extended, OB\/GYN, and Vascular concentrations) by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (<a href=\"https:\/\/nam02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.caahep.org%2F&amp;data=05%7C02%7Csuzanne.lane%40bellevuecollege.edu%7C8ee0029a64be4f99c1db08de4e1bde23%7Cf94c251c1347422eb3ea8ac56befd6cb%7C0%7C0%7C639034078755411710%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=LgQgkqlNJCOCrFaTjb1gmy8GnZyMWJoR7gP0uz9EHC4%3D&amp;reserved=0\">www.caahep.org<\/a>). This step in the process is neither a status of accreditation nor a guarantee that accreditation will be granted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>General (Abdomen-Extended and OB\/GYN) and Vascular graduates have three potential routes to take the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/nam02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ardms.org%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2Fpdf%2FARDMS-General-Prerequisites.pdf&amp;data=05%7C02%7Csuzanne.lane%40bellevuecollege.edu%7C8ee0029a64be4f99c1db08de4e1bde23%7Cf94c251c1347422eb3ea8ac56befd6cb%7C0%7C0%7C639034078755451011%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=MR%2FxSgfMkFgByNsj5jBetC7uyLtXxJigeWzCGIYGsF0%3D&amp;reserved=0\">ARDMS specialty exams<\/a>:&nbsp;pathway 1 (as long as the degree is earned&nbsp;before&nbsp;graduating from the DUTEC program), pathway 3A, and pathway 5.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/inteleos.ca1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_dmoV0J2k2np4hHD\">ARDMS Prerequisite PrepTool<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The echocardiography track is still accredited, so it currently falls under&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/nam02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ardms.org%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2Fpdf%2FARDMS-General-Prerequisites-U.pdf&amp;data=05%7C02%7Csuzanne.lane%40bellevuecollege.edu%7C8ee0029a64be4f99c1db08de4e1bde23%7Cf94c251c1347422eb3ea8ac56befd6cb%7C0%7C0%7C639034078755502824%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=4MQq6GJLnE8isGJIlg2bh4RkS%2BdoHwO2gRTlvDd%2BQ58%3D&amp;reserved=0\">Prerequisite Pathway 2.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Review the Application Checklist<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Before you begin the application process, review&nbsp;the ENTIRE&nbsp;application checklist.&nbsp;&nbsp;A link to a printable checklist is provided below.&nbsp;It is <strong>your<\/strong> responsibility to make sure that your application is complete and submitted before the deadline for admissions consideration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/56\/2026\/01\/DUTEC-2026-application-instructions-1.8.26.docx\">Diagnostic Ultrasound Technology 2026 Application Checklist<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Complete Bellevue College <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/admissions-aid\/\">General Admission<\/a> Application<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You will need to apply to BC if you are a new student (first time Bellevue College Applicant). If you have applied before or have taken courses at BC, apply again only if you:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applied before 2019 OR<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attended a program that did not collect residency information (non-credit classes, continuing education, College in the High School, CTE\/Tech Prep, Running Start 2019 or earlier)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are a current BC student and already have a ctcLink ID \u2013 skip this step.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Need help with the application process?&nbsp; View an <a href=\"http:\/\/ctclinkreferencecenter.ctclink.us\/m\/79750\/l\/1136018-9-2-apply-for-admission-link-fluid\">online guide on how to apply.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Admission applications are typically processed within 2\u20133 business days. You will be notified by email once you are admitted and informed of the next steps. Your admission letter also includes your ctcLink ID and information about the next steps and how to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/netid\/\">set up your BC NetID (email)<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take note of your ctcLink ID #. You will need to enter this on your online program application through CAS.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There is $66.00 application fee which will be charged only if you will register for classes. For example if you get accepted to the program this fee will be added to your first quarter classes. No fee will be charged if you don\u2019t register for classes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mayflower-blocks-alert alert alert-success\">\n<p><strong>RECOMMENDATION:&nbsp;<\/strong> <strong>Complete this step as soon as possible.&nbsp; During high volume application periods, it may take up to two weeks for your admission application to be processed and you cannot submit your Diagnostic Ultrasound application until you have been admitted to the college.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mayflower-blocks-alert alert alert-danger\">\n<p><strong>PLEASE NOTE: International students who are F-1 visa holders are not eligible to complete this program.&nbsp; Please contact our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/international\/\">Office of International Education<\/a> for additional details.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Diagnostic Ultrasound Program Application (Online Only)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mayflower-blocks-alert alert alert-success\">\n<p>The Bellevue College Diagnostic Ultrasound application&nbsp;is an online application and you will be required to upload several additional items as part of the application process.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Diagnostic Ultrasound program is a selective\/competitive admissions program. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission, as the number of qualified applicants may exceed the number of available enrollment spaces. All applications are submitted through the Common Application System (CAS).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Start working on your Diagnostic Ultrasound online application by creating an account through the <a href=\"https:\/\/apply.transfer.commonapp.org\/applicant-ux\/#\/login\">Common Apps System (CAS) HERE<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From CAS Choose your program \u2013 search for Bellevue College and then add Diagnostic Ultrasound to your list of programs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>REVIEW the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/56\/2022\/01\/DUTEC-CommonApp-Application-Instructions.pdf\">CommonApp \/ Diagnostic Ultrasound guidelines [PDF]<\/a>.&nbsp; This is ESSENTIAL information that you will need to correctly complete your CommonApp application.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants to the Diagnostic Ultrasound program must declare their specialty track of sonography practice at time of application. The four specialty track options are:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>General (Abdomen &amp; OB\/GYN)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vascular Technology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Echocardiography<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Multi-Track (Abdomen, OB\/GYN &amp; Vascular) \u2013 Acceptance into the Diagnostic Ultrasound program is required prior to applying for this track.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Download a copy of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/56\/2022\/01\/DUTEC-prerequisite-tracker-2022.pdf\">Prerequisite Tracking sheet [PDF]<\/a> so you can gather information on your completed or in progress prerequisite courses. You will also need to enter details on any unmet prerequisites that you are currently enrolled in.&nbsp; Please keep in mind that grades for any winter quarter, 2026 coursework MUST be submitted to the Diagnostic Ultrasound program manager at suzanne.lane@bellevuecollege.edu no later than April 1, 2026.&nbsp; After you have completed the prerequisite tracking form, save the completed form.&nbsp; You will be submitting this page with your program application.&nbsp; You MUST include the completed prerequisite tracking form or your application will not be processed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that&nbsp;calculation of your prerequisite GPA&nbsp;will be based upon any numerical grade information provided in your unofficial transcript(s).&nbsp; Review of prerequisite equivalency worksheets may take up to three weeks and you will need to email verification of program chair approval with your online application materials.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mayflower-blocks-alert alert alert-warning\">\n<p><strong>REMEMBER: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The Diagnostic Ultrasound program requires all applicants complete their required prerequisites with a minimum 3.2 GPA.&nbsp; If your GPA in your prerequisite courses is below 3.2, your application will not be considered for the Diagnostic Ultrasound program.&nbsp; <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The lowest acceptable grade on any required prerequisite course is C (2.0).&nbsp; <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>All prerequisites must be completed by the end of winter quarter, 2026 if you are submitting an application in 2026.&nbsp; <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>All Math and Science prerequisites must be completed within the last five years (between 2021 and 2025).<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have questions about your prerequisite GPA, you may also use the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.back2college.com\/gpa.htm\">online GPA calculator<\/a> to calculate your own GPA and confirm your results.&nbsp; Maximum file size is 250 MB.<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Access to the Sharepoint site will require applicants to sign in using their BC Net ID email and password.&nbsp; Applicants must have an active Bellevue College NetID account to access the Sharepoint site.&nbsp; button at the top of the page. This will open a new window.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fill out the required information in this window &#8211; your title should be your name and &#8216;DUTEC video&#8217;.&nbsp; Please enter a personal email that is a primary email for you.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on &#8216;Add Attachments&#8217; and select your video file. It should appear as an item under the Attachment header. Then select &#8216;Save&#8217;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your entries should then appear under the appropriate headers on the main page.&nbsp; Your video file will NOT appear on the main page list.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>SUBMISSION METHOD #2: Upload video to an online site to share access with the program<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select an online site (for example YouTube) and follow the instructions to register to share your video.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow the instructions to save your video on the site and send the following information to Suzanne Lane at suzanne.lane@bellevuecollege.edu: Your name, Your ctcLink ID number, your personal email address and the URL for the video. For instance, you might want to apply for Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, Radiologic Technology or Neurodiagnostic Technology programs.
