No experience is required and no need to sign up in advance. Join us for a class to improve your health and personal productivity.

The weekly fitness classes below are funded by Human Resources and the BC Wellness Center. No registration required, show up, sign in and enjoy! Then invite a friend to join you for the next class.

Feeling stressed/information overload?  Try meditation!  Meditation promotes a sense of peace, calm and balance.  Don’t let the thought of ‘meditating the right way’ hold you back; there is no right or wrong way to practice.  Join Penelope Benis for a short, guided (10-20 minute) meditation designed and accessible for all levels of experience.

Xpress Fitness with Michelle McRae

Jan 12-March 18 (no class; 2/11, 3/2)
Tuesday and Thursday, 7:30-8:10 AM- Via Zoom            

Join BC Fitness Center Instructor Michelle McRae for this 40 minute group training session. Participants will join a regularly scheduled Zoom meeting hosted by Michelle. You will work through various body weight and simple equipment exercises that you can do from home. No registration or experience necessary. Please Zoom in and get moving!

Here are some supplies that would be useful for our class: a chair that can help you balance, small weights or household items such as filled water bottles or cans of food that give weight challenge, resistance bands for legs, stretch cords for upper body, mat for floor work, non-slip socks or shoes. It would be helpful to have supplies ready to go at the start of our sessions.

Strategies for Sitting: Stay Comfortable and Calm while Teaching Online

Are you finding your body aching when working long hours behind a computer? Take some time for yourself to learn strategies for sitting to keep your eyes, neck, back, shoulders, and wrists comfortable. Irene will guide us in ways to reduce and relieve the stress of online teaching and prevent over-use injuries and tension. We’ll use the Feldenkrais Method, a powerful learning tool for changing habits.

Faculty Staff Fitness Center Access

The G building remodel is complete and the Fitness Center is larger and brighter than ever.  Faculty and Staff may access the Fitness Center for a reduced rate by registering for ADFIT 02 for $13.50 per quarter.  New equipment, training staff, and locker rooms included.  Sign up in person at the welcome center and then talk with Fitness Center staff on your first visits to the Fitness Center for the required paperwork and a facility tour.


Stability Ball Desk Chair Rental

Bellevue College offers a limited number of stability ball rentals for use at your desk. Rentals are currently suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic.
