About Joan
Joan Wissmann is a globetrotting business professional which has taken her to over 50 countries and all seven continents. She is currently a Sr. Adjunct Professor at Bellevue College for Business courses such as Introduction to Business (BUS& 101), Human Resource Management (BUS 221), Applied Principles of Management (BUS 223), Organizational Behavior (BUS 120), and Project Management (BUS 230).
Joan is an experienced business professional with over 25 years of leading programs and managing people to meet overall organizational objectives. Her cross-cultural knowledge and ability to collaborate with virtual teams and leadership around the globe has been recognized with internal company leadership. She has worked in the public, private, for-profit, and non-profit sectors with companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, Gates Foundation, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Corbis, and Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH).
