About Paul
Paul grew up in Seattle’s central area. A Sansei, third generation Japanese American. He earned a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Mathematics from the University of Washington and a Master of Arts in Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley. He taught high school in Oakland, CA, and later returned to Seattle to teach high school, community college, and as an adjunct instructor at Seattle University. Proud parents with wife Kathleen Vasquez of son Kenji. His extracurricular activities include teaching karate, playing basketball, gardening, and listening to R&B and jazz, mostly old school.
