May is Bike Month!
… and it’s just around the corner!
• May 1 – C Courtyard: Bike to Work Month Kick-off
• May 7 – 12:30 – room R102: Bike-ability Brainstorm
BC Cyclists and anyone interested in biking on the Eastside come together to discuss our rides, what works, what doesn’t, and point out areas on a map. We’ll be talking about how cycling can improve both on and off-campus.
• May 13 – 4:00pm – meet at Bus Shelter: Neighborhood Bike-ability Audit, followed by de-brief in B101
Join us as we bike around Eastgate! Help point out areas of improvement, and have a say in Bellevue city planning. Learn where other commuters ride on the Eastside, and let’s work together to make our commutes better.
• May 16 – 8am-12:00 – BC Fountain: Bike to Work Day & Bagels for Cyclists
Stop by the fountain with your bike helmet for a free bagel! Commuters throughout the area will be stopping by stations all around King County to celebrate bike commuting. Be a part of this great day!
• May 23 – 4:00pm – meet at Bus Shelter: Community Ride on the Lake to Lake trail
Join BC Cyclists for a relaxing Friday ride on the Lake to Lake trail!
• May 27 – 9:30am – room B101: Bike-ability Brainstorm
Our last discussion of bike month! We’ll review what we’ve learned, determine our next steps to improving bike infrastructure, and plan how to keep the BC cycling community engaged on campus and in our community.
