Biography:

Hello, my name is Yuhan Wang. I am originally from a province in central China. I completed both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Beijing, a beautiful city where I spent most of my time outside my hometown.

I then came to the United States to pursue my PhD at Oregon State University. My research focuses on the economic impacts of climate change, particularly climate-related natural disasters, and how these events affect local communities, housing affordability, and water quality. After earning my PhD, I continued my research as a postdoctoral scholar.

I have been in the Pacific Northwest since starting my graduate studies and am now based in Bothell. I really enjoy the natural environment here, being surrounded by forests, rivers, and lakes.

Outside of work, I like hiking, gardening, and cooking. I’m always interested in connecting with others and contributing to the local academic and research community through applied, policy-relevant work.
