Purpose
The following procedures are established to meet the requirements for implementing policy #7300 – Refunds and Administrative Fees for Student Schedule Changes.
Procedures
The specific refund procedure and rates are published in the college catalog and the quarterly schedule of classes.
- Fall, Winter, Spring Quarters
- Refunds for tuition and related fees for fall, winter, and spring quarters are charged an administrative fee and are refunded upon withdrawal from college or a course or courses as follows:
- Tuition and fees will be refunded at 100% through the fifth instructional day of the quarter.
- Tuition and fees will be refunded at 50% from the sixth instructional day through the twentieth calendar day of the quarter.
- Tuition and fees will not be refunded after the twentieth calendar day of the quarter.
- Summer Quarter
- Refunds for tuition and related fees for summer quarter are charged an administrative fee and are refunded upon withdrawal from college or a course or courses as follows: Tuition and fees will be refunded at 100% through the third instructional day of the quarter.
- Tuition and fees will be refunded at 50% from the fourth instructional day through the eleventh calendar day of the quarter.
- Tuition and fees will not be refunded after calendar day eleven of the quarter.
- Refund Exception Rules
- No checks will be processed for refunds that are less than $25 – refund balances may be applied to future quarters of attendance. Any refund balances remaining after eight (8) quarters will be forfeited.
- If an insurance claim has been filed, no refund will be granted for insurance fees.
- Self-support programs may, with institutional approval, develop different refund policies for programmatic reasons. Refund policies pertaining to these programs will be listed in the quarterly schedule.
