This year’s earth week was exciting and tons of fun! We had amazing lectures, vendor booths, a fashion show, and a pledge tree. If you haven’t had a chance to check out our pledge video that features students, employees and staff around campus, click here.
We managed to get over 200 members of the campus community to pledge an act of green. Pledges ranged from using campus recycling bins to having a five minutes shower. Personally, I think the latter pledge is admirable. The fashion show was fun and the models were quite energetic!
It was even featured on Bellevue Komo News, read the article and catch a glimpse of the show.
Finally, I would like to give a big thank you to, John Buckingham for developing the Fashion Show idea; Salvador Castro and Corey Robertshaw who helped with the pledge tree; Megan Phan and Elham Zaeri for the help with manning the pledge table and Deric Gruen for his coordination and all his support. Many thanks go out to Robert Viens, Marika Reinke, Nora Lance and Faisal Jaswal; without them Earth Week would not have have been a success!
