Sustainability and Service-Learning Faculty Institute

The Curriculum for the Bioregion Initiative and Washington Campus Compact are offering an exciting opportunity for faculty to convene at a one-day meeting on Thursday, November 1 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the beautiful Talaris Conference Center in Seattle.

Registration is free and space is limited so register early!

The institute is open to faculty who are interested in:

  • Developing or expanding a service-learning component in a course that addresses sustainability concepts and issues; and/or
  • Deepening a service-learning project or program through the integration of sustainability content.

No prior experience with sustainability-focused curriculum or service-learning is required, just a strong interest in these topics and in sharing and gaining ideas with like-minded colleagues.  Campus teams are encouraged and can include faculty, staff and community partners interested in collaborating on sustainability initiatives.
