How BC Rose to the Bike Month Challenge

With May coming to a close, Cascade Bicycle Club’s Bike Month Challenge is shifting down for the final stretch.

In Washington alone, over 15 thousand people participated logging 1,915,818 miles so far.

Bellevue College’s team rocked it this year! The 15 active participants logged 272 one-way trips totaling a whopping 1,990 miles and burned an estimated 97,547 calories! The team avoided 1,752 lbs. of CO2 emissions, which can be visualized in the picture below.

A shout out to David Lopez-Kopp for holding the team on his back as he pedaled over 417.9 miles of tarmac! Another goes out to Jason Fuller, the leader of the pack in one-way trips totaling 33.

Nice job to all the riders this year and keep on riding!
