What makes us happy? Is money the best measurement or happiness? As part of the ongoing Fall Social Justice series, The Office of Sustainability are proud to present 2011’s hit documentary “The Economics of Happiness” directed by Helena Norberg-Hodge, Steven Gorelick, and John Page. The film aligns with the core missions of The Office of Sustainability and we think the film presents very compelling stories detailing individuals experiences from around the world which inspire the kind of local and global change we need. On the one hand, government and big business continue to promote globalization and the consolidation of corporate power. Communities are coming together to re-build more human scale, ecological economies based on a new paradigm – an economics of localization.”
