VOLUNTEER DESCRIPTION:
We are currently recruiting for a year-long position beginning this October 3rd. WCC is an environmental service and job training program for adults between 18 and 25. There are many WCC locations in Washington State and are sponsored by local organizations. We have four crews that work within King County on various habitat restoration projects on farms, roads, rivers.
It’s a great entry level job that requires no experience. We provide on the job training and have additional training opportunities within the year. We pay the minimum wage and as an AmeriCorps position there is a $5,775 education award at the end of a year of service. Plus, since we are contracted by King County, this position is a great for networking. We meet employees from King County for every project.
