Puget Sound Energy is committed to providing customers green energy options that reduce carbon emissions and support the regional development of renewable energy. Green Direct is PSE’s innovative renewable energy program that offers corporate and governmental customers the ability to purchase up to 100 percent of their electricity usage from a dedicated, local, renewable energy resource.
We are proud to be one of 18 new customers joining PSE’s Green Direct program, and beginning in March, our organization is receiving 100 percent renewable energy. PSE’s Green Direct program now has a total of 41 customers receiving renewable power generated from resources in Washington, including the Skookumchuck Wind Energy Project that became operational in November 2020.
PSE continues to diversify its energy mix to provide both wind and solar renewable energy for its Green Direct customers. In late 2021, PSE will include power from Lund Hill, a 150 MW solar project currently under construction by Avangrid Renewables in Klickitat County.
As a Green Direct customer, we are aligned with PSE to create a cleaner energy future in our region and reduce our carbon footprint.
