Please join the Social Justice Center and the Climate Justice Across the Curriculum group for a presentation on Dec 1, “Lighting the 8th Fire: Indigenous Strategies for a Green Future” , facilitated by Winona LaDuke.

Winona LaDuke (Anishinaabekwe member of the White Earth Nation) is an internationally-acclaimed Indigenous rights and environmental leader, working at the intersection of climate justice, food and energy policy, and Indigenous economies. In this presentation, she’ll discuss how the climate crisis and the pandemic have provided us with the opportunity to walk a new path, taking care of each other and our Mother Earth, as well as what it’s going to take to herald in a restorative, regenerative, and just society.
