The Washington State Department of Ecology is currently conducting a Recycling Refunds Study. They have an in-person community event for King County residents to learn about the Recycling Refund Study and share their thoughts and feedback. They are looking for input from all King County residents on a potential “bottle bill” in Washington and are hosting the event to share information, gather feedback on the program, and show participants how to submit a public comment.
This is an in-person learning and listening info session happening this Thursday, July 30th from 6-8 pm at Duwamish River Community Hub (8600 14th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98108).
- Attendees will learn about the Recycling Refund Study, a potential “bottle bill” deposit return system that the Department of Ecology is studying.
- Dinner will be provided! Tamales, sides, drinks, desserts.
- Spanish interpretation will be available at all sessions.
- $50 raffle for VISA gift card for participants.
