Started in 2018 by Karen Bosshart as a social justice and equity project and continued by student Erika LaMothe in 2019, the menstrual hygiene dispensers provide free access to necessary hygiene products to anyone in need.
Fast forward to 2022, House Bill 1273, a new state law, requires colleges and universities to provide free menstrual hygiene products in women’s restrooms and all gender restrooms.
The project is now managed by the Custodial Department and the Office of Sustainability.
The new normal on campus is free, accessible menstrual products for all!
Menstrual product dispensers are in every women’s restroom and every all gender restroom on campus.
