James Riggall
James has supported the XR Lab for many years and he developed and taught Virtual Reality Design and Communications (CMST 116) alongside Bruce Wolcott. He was a Fulbright Scholar and a co-founder of the XR Lab in 2017. He resides in Tasmania, Australia.
James teaches entrepreneurship at the University of Tasmania, runs a small technology education company called Bitlink, and is a principal artist with the technology art collective Soma Lumia. He also serves on several boards, including the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery. What excites James most about XR is its potential to transform education, giving people access to new experiences and helping them develop skills in ways never before possible. He believes we have only begun to explore what XR can do to accelerate and deepen learning.
