Biography:

Gina Fiorini has been teaching chemistry at Bellevue College since 2009. She earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from University of Washington in Seattle, Washington and a B.S. in Chemistry from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California. Prior to teaching at here BC, she taught at Highline Community College as part of an Interdisciplinary Studies program for Running Start students. During that year her chemistry courses were paired with Technical Writing and Political Science courses. Gina grew up on a family farm in central California that produced peaches, almonds, and grapes. Later, during her undergraduate studies, she was an enology intern at E&J Gallo Winery. This sparked her interest in analytical chemistry, a field that can be summed up by the question: “What’s in this?”
