Faculty Course Approval Process

When applying for multiple subjects and courses, applicants will need to ask multiple Bellevue College faculty for course approvals. Course approvals can be submitted in the following ways:

Course approvals will be added to an applicant’s tutor application packet as they are received.

NOTE: Students can visit the ASC for a printed course approval form if an instructor requests to physically sign a document.

Current tutors should update their tutoring profile as often as possible by submitting new faculty course approvals. New approvals can be submitted in the following ways:

  • Faculty can complete the following Microsoft form, Faculty Course Approval Form for Tutoring. The tutor should follow-up with an updated transcript to asc@bellevuecollege.edu.
  • Faculty can email course approvals and comments directly to asc@bellevuecollege.edu. The tutor should follow-up with an updated transcript to asc@bellevuecollege.edu.

NOTES:

  • If you receive faculty course approval before your transcript has been updated for a completed course, please send your updated transcript once grades have been finalized and released.
  • If your instructor prefers to physically sign a document, tutors can pick up a printed course approval form at the ASC Front Information Desk.

Because ASC tutors support specific BC courses, approval from BC faculty is required.

Faculty can submit course approvals in one of two ways:

NOTE TO FACULTY: If adding optional comments, please avoid using any protected characteristics. For more details, visit the U.S Equal Employment Opportunity Commission at eeoc.gov/employers.
