Each year, graduating students in Bellevue College’s BS in Computer Science program complete a Senior Capstone Project. Under the guidance of faculty advisors, student teams design, build, and present solutions to real-world computing challenges. Socialscope – Social Media Analytics Simplified
Socialscope is a web-based platform that simplifies social media analytics. It allows users to easily search across multiple social networks and analyze trends, opinions, and engagement. Built with React.js, Spring Boot, D3.js, and hosted on AWS, Socialscope integrates with social media APIs and uses Google Cloud Natural Language for data analysis.

WebCL Card
WebGL Card is an online, turn-based card gaming platform utilizing WebGL graphics. It supports secure, multiplayer games (including AI opponents) and can run multiple games simultaneously on the server. The platform includes two games, Blackjack and Texas Hold’em, with a built-in betting system. Players can log in to track their win/loss records and balance history.

Road Trip Advisor
Road Trip Advisor is a web application that helps people plan amazing road trips. After entering a starting and destination point, the web application will suggest a couple of road trip alternatives overlayed with different restaurant, hotels and activities options optimized with user preferences. The user preferences will be determined based on the available reviews provided. The users shall be able to view road suggestions for their trips, be able to create a new trip by entering starting and destination points and trip constraints and be able to login and save their trip info.

Bellevue College AR Campus Tour
The Augmented Reality (AR) Campus tour is intended to assist students, professors, and visitors as they navigate the main Bellevue College campus. The AR Campus tour app is an augmented reality application for Android-powered mobile devices that help out current and future Bellevue College students in recognizing the buildings around campus, learning more information about that particular building and finding destinations.

Item is Items – 2D Adventure Puzzle Game
The Items is Items game, is a top down 2D item adventure puzzle game. With an inventory UI that allows you to combine and store items and the ability to use items to interact with the world. The game’s goal is to provide players with the experience of using all items they can find in creative and interesting ways to solve any challenge presented to them.

Forest Fire Detection System
Forest fires are a major concern in the present day global ecosystem, causing harm in ways such as destroying timber, killing wildlife, and polluting the air. Our goal in developing a Forest Fire Detection System for EarthNow, a satellite imaging system, is to not prevent forest fires from occurring, but to detect when they first start and notifying authorities in order to minimize the damage.

RU Calculator
Cosmos DB is a highly reliable cloud application that still requires some adjustments in order to better fulfill its reliability and clarity with customers. For customers, there is an ever-growing concern with transparency, especially with monetary costs. Thus this project is focused on aiding the financial aspect of Cosmos DB. In the case of this project, we are working with Cosmos DB and we are trying to sharpen its efficiency and accuracy of one of its side functionalities: the estimation calculator of Request Unit throughput.

Distributed Hashtable
Distributed Hashtable is a decentralized in-memory Data Storage Networking using Distributed Computing. This network can be applied to run on local machines as well as on cloud interface such as Azure or AWS. Each server on a network is known as a node in the system and is responsible for storing specific files of any data type. The heart of the network relies on the Chord peer-to-peer protocol for file distribution which allows its decentralized nature. The network alongside Chord algorithms creates an environment that is scalable, reliable, and secure.

WattTime Energy Emissions Dashboard
WattTime promotes AER “Automated Emissions Reduction”, this is the practice of using electricity at times when energy is the cleanest. Our dashboard helps people do just that, by monitoring emissions, and highlighting the times when marginal generation is supplied by carbon free or renewable energy. For example, if you’re in Texas, and get your energy from Electric Reliability Council of Texas, Inc. (ERCO), then 4pm would be a good time to power or charge any devices or equipment, at this time, marginal increases in demand are supplied by carbon free and renewable energy sources.

The BitLearns Dashboard addresses a critical challenge educators face: understanding how students are engaging with course material. Frailty Tester is a web-based application that uses AI and computer vision to guide seniors through balance tests and provide instant feedback. Pineapple Expense is an Android mobile app that streamlines employee expense reporting by using AI to automatically extract data from receipt photos. The Fridge
The Fridge is a smart fridge tracker that solves the problem of not knowing what food you have or how fresh it is.
