Dr. Sara Farag holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia, specializing in computer graphics. She joined Bellevue College’s Computer Science Department in 2017, where she currently serves as an Associate Professor and Program Chair. Prior to this, she held various teaching roles at Deakin and Swinburne Universities, accumulating valuable experience in education. In addition, she worked in software engineering positions at several Australian companies.
Dr. Farag is passionate about teaching and learning practice in both on-campus and e-learning spaces. She is driven by a passion for creating engaging learning environments and guiding students toward academic and professional success.
In her leisure time, she enjoys the company of her small family of a husband and two children, and a beloved dog. She also likes travel, tennis, and swimming. She is excited to share her knowledge and experience with the Bellevue college team.
