INTER 120: Imagine A World: Creating Fantasy and Science Fiction
If you enjoy fantasy, gaming, sci-fi, or storytelling, this course will tap your creative imagination while exploring cultural diversity and social organization. Students will use anthropological and literary perspectives to create a culture (i.e., world-building) while exploring meaning-making, environment, social injustice and cultural change in literature and the real world.
This section is on-ground; in-person on Mondays and Wednesdays, and online; synchronous on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The balance of instruction occurs online as directed by the course syllabus.

INTER 155: The Wire: Life On The Streets and War On Drugs
How do cops become corrupt? Are all lawyers shady? Can a drug dealer be honorable? What is the code of the street? These questions (and more!) will be uncovered, using HBOs The Wire! This class will examine the psychological nature of community perception of local policing activities and the social behaviors of West Baltimore inner-city residents during the 1990s and dive into the War on Drugs through HBOs show The Wire.
This section is on-ground; in-person on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and online; synchronous on Mondays and Wednesdays. On Fridays, this section will be asynchronous online. The balance of instruction occurs online as directed by the course syllabus.
